The Windy City!
As most of my posts are, this one is a few days late. Ian and I visited Chicago last week with Lola Betch, Lola the Great, Tita Laure and a distant Filipino relative of Charles', Cecille! It was Ian's first time there and his first time out of state and he did great! He slept most of the ride down and woke up just as we were getting into the big city.
First stop was the Sear's Tower. We went up onto the 103rd floor viewing area and had a great view of the city. It was such a perfect day! The sky was blue and the air was clear, you could see for what seemed like a hundred miles! Ian really seemed to enjoy looking out the windows. I also had the unique experience of nursing him up there! Hey, when a baby's gotta eat, a baby's gotta eat! Tita Laure was nice enough to find us hiding in the corner and take a snap shot of it, I will spare you and not post it.

Next we went to the lake front of Lake Michigan and had a packed lunch. Ian was afraid of the seaguls, he cried when they came near!
After lunch we walked over to the Shed Aquarium. This was definetly Ian's favorite part of the day. He LOVED looking at the fish in the tanks. He had a small meltdown as we were waiting for the dolphin show to start, but we survived.
On the way home, we stopped at IKEA! It was both mine and Ian's first time there and holy cow, I can't wait to go back! I don't know how we made it out of there with only a new rug for the bathroom. I did however get plenty of great ideas for when we have to upgrade Ian's nursery to a "kids" room.
Anyhow, it was a great trip and we look forward to a return someday, hopefully Charles can come next time! Oh and did I mention, Soldier Field is the ugliest football stadium I've ever seen in my life.
